2 Boxed Sets of Antique Tibetan Tingsha

Case Sizes Approximately 11 x 5 cm

This is a fabulous and very rare pair of top quality matching antique embossed copper Tibetan Tingsha boxes complete with their original bronze Tingsha, both of which produce a high seventh octave A note when struck together (2652Hz and 2626Hz). 

The cases measure approximately 11 x 5 cm (including hinge and lock) and are beautifully made and decorated with a floral motif on top and underneath.  They are hinged on one side and locked with a pin attached to a leather cord.  They probably date from the 1800s and are in perfect museum quality condition. The Tingsha measure approximately 7 cm (3 inches) in diameter and are plain and simple, silver coloured bronze with an aged patina.

Tingsha are small cymbals used in Tibetan Buddhist prayers and rituals, and antique boxed sets are extremely rare and sought-after.
