Three Pairs (Sets) of Tibetan Folk Hand Cymbals
Diameter: 15cm (6 inches), Combined Weight: 1.12 kilos (2 lb 7 ¼ oz)
These traditional percussion instruments, hand cymbals, are popular in Tibet and Nepal and are used in both ritual and folk music. They are played by rhythmically clashing the plates together.
Each set consist of a pair of round thin-walled metal plates that are raised in the middle, and are traditionally forged by a blacksmith from an alloy of 5 metals…brass, copper, silver, zinc and gold.
These 3 sets are from the same forge and are virtually identical. They are nicely proportioned and have a professional hand-crafted look with an attractive surface finish. They would benefit from rethreading with leather. The price is for all 3 sets.
