Small Antique Lingam Singing Bowl. F5 (655-699Hz) Heart Chakra
Weight 0 lb 15½ oz. (440g). 12 x 6 cm (approx. 4¾ x 2½ inches)
This is a good quality small antique lingam bowl with high-sided walls and a flat bottom. It has a thick lip, a pretty lingam at its centre and a nice navel underneath.
This bowl dates from around 1800 and features a decorative band of small dots around the outer rim. These dots are all that remains of a decorative ribbon of sun symbols (dots within circles)…the outer circles having been worn away over the passage of time. It’s an attractive bowl with a bright and clean golden colour. It has the look and feel of antiquity.
This is a responsive bowl that is easy to play. It fits in the palm of the hand perfectly for playing, and would comfortably slip in a pocket. The fundamental is a fifth octave F note. A teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
This antique Lingam bowl would make a very nice gift for someone special!
