Antique Singing, Taking & Fountain Bowl. Notes: A3 & E5 (Third Eye & Solar Plexus Chakras)
Weight: 897 grams (2 lb 0 oz). Size: 20 x 8.5 cm (8 x 3 ¼ inches)
This Antique Singing, Talking and Fountain Bowl with its shallow curved wall, sheered lip and flat bottom has a perfect pitch third octave A3 (220Hz) fundamental when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim note changes to a fifth octave E5 (645Hz) with a wooden ringer.
This is an extremely versatile bowl with excellent ‘talking ability’ when played and rocked back and forth with a little water inside. It has bags of vibrant energy and will also produce splashy fountains.
This rare and wonderful bowl is believed to date from the early 19th Century, and any decorative elements (circles etc) it might have had have been worn away with use over time.
It is in excellent structural condition, clean and stain-free, with a smattering of copper oxidization, and an attractive golden bronze colour.
This incredibly versatile bowl has possibly the best talking voice I have encountered in over 40 years!
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a padded striker, and a ringer are all included in the price.
