This is a large and heavy top quality antique pedestal or Naga Singing Bowl with a fantastic voice.  It has a strong pedestal, thick smooth even walls, a nicely grooved level lip and a decorative band of engraved lines forming a collar just below the rim.  This is a very well preserved bowl, with the benefit of a large inscription just below the decorative collar.

 

This handsome Naga bowl is distinguished by both its quality and its fantastic voice…a powerful middle octave F whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a ringer.  As with most Naga bowls it is also extremely responsive and easy to play.
