Antique Himalayan Remuna Singing Bowl – good talker!

This is a very versatile high-walled antique Remuna singing bowl with a good talking voice and some fountain ability.  Its fine walls make it light and easy to hold and to play for an extended period.  The smooth lip and walls, and the now-faint decorative banding just below the rim, suggest that this is a well-used older bowl.  Its condition is very good in all respects apart from some light watermark type staining around the inside of the basin (see above left).

This bowl is a delight to play.  The fundamental note is a low third octave B when struck, and a near concert pitch fifth octave F when played around the rim.   It is very responsive, has a beautiful singing voice, and with a little water inside is a particularly good talking bowl.
