This medium size antique Himalayan Ultabati Singing Bowl has an extremely nice pulsating and rare third octave Eb to E fundamental (159-160Hz).

 

Ultabati bowls have a very distinctive caldron-like form with fine walls, a scooped or flared neck and an out-turned downward-sloping lip.  This one has a grooved lip, decorative concentric circles inside and a pair of incised lines around the outer wall.

 

This bowl is structurally sound, basically clean but with some light copper oxidization inside.  It has a nice matt bronze colour with attractive hammer markings.

 

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a padded striker and a ringer are all included in the price.
