This is a fabulous and desirable medium-size antique Jambati singing bowl with a beautiful voice…a pulsating and low 3^rd octave F fundamental with a superb long sustain when struck with a padded mallet.  It sings the same lovely F3 when played around the rim with a suede ringer.  With a little water inside, this bowl also has some fountain ability.

This size Jambati bowl is very much sought-after as it is light enough to be comfortably held on the palm of the hand and played for an extended period.

It is a very beautiful top-quality bowl in excellent condition for its age; clean and virtually blemish free.   It has very attractive hammer markings inside and out, and the deep-bodied form typical of much larger Jambati bowls of the highest order.  It has a good triangulated lip and nicely incised decorative bands forming a collar below the outer rim.  Old Jambati singing bowls do not come much better than this!

A brocade Tibetan bowl cushion and a heavy teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
