This is a nice example of this uncommon and sought-after bowl form, with smooth evenly-forged walls and an excellent level grooved lip.

It is an older bowl with some decorative incised banding on the outer wall and a small inscription, although these are now faint, having been worn down with use over the years.  There is a small circle at the bowl’s centre.  This bowl is in excellent structural condition and virtually free of stains and blemishes.

I have yet to come across a Remuna bowl that doesn’t impress with its ease of play and purity of sound…and this bowl is no exception.  The struck and played notes are the same, an excellent mid octave D that is virtually concert pitch.  This bowl also has some fountain ability.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
