This is a nice example of this rare and sought-after bowl form with a fabulous perfect pitch third octave Bb3 (233Hz) fundamental when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.  The Bb3 rim note slowly evolves into a powerful and penetrating fifth octave E5 (653Hz) if desired.   In common with all antique Remuna bowls it is very responsive and a delight to hold and play.

This bowl has smooth even walls, a grooved lip, circles at its centre, and decorative lines encircling the outer rim and around its belly. 

 It is in excellent structural condition, clean and stain-free, with a bright golden bronze colour.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
