Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl – B3 Note
SOLD
Tibetan Thadobati Singing Bowl. B Note (Crown Chakra)
Weight 1 lb 11 ¾ oz (786g). 18 x 9 cm (approx. 7 x 3 ½ inches)
This is a characterful Thadobati Singing Bowl with an excellent and sonorous third octave B fundamental. The note is the same whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.
This high-walled and straight-sided bowl has typical Thadobati proportions. It is structurally sound but has seen a lot of use in its lifetime, and any decorative features around the rim and elsewhere have all but disappeared. It has a pleasing dark golden antique colour and has the look and feel of an old bowl. It is very responsive and easy to play and has a particularly nice sound when played around the rim.
A double-ended teak and suede striker/ringer is included in the price.
