This antique Thadobati singing bowl dates from the 18th century and has an excellent middle C# (278Hz) concert pitch voice whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.
This bowl has seen a lot of service in its long life. Its hammered walls are now satin smooth and virtually all of its decorative features have all but disappeared, although there is evidence of a sun motif band around the outer rim. It has a very nice antique bronze colour and the look and feel of great age.
A double-ended teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
