Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl – E4 & Bb5 (Solar Plexus Chakra)
Weight 423g (0 lb 15 oz) 5 ¼ x 2 ¾ inches (13.5 x 7 cm)
A small and characterful 19th century Thadobati singing bowl with slightly rustic and uneven walls, and a very sweet sound. The fundamental note is a middle E when struck, or played with suede ringer. The rim note evolves into a Bb5 if a wooden ringer is used.
The bowl benefits from an attractive inscription on the outer wall…something of a rarity on a small bowl, and indicative of its high status to a former owner.
A characterful little bowl that feels nice in the hand and has the look of age and service!
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a teak and suede ringer included in the price.
