Exceptionally Rare 17th /18th Century Lingam Singing Bowl – Nice Bb4 Voice

This small antique Lingam Singing Bowl is quite possibly the oldest and rarest in my entire collection.  It has an excellent middle octave Bb4 (472Hz) fundamental when struck and (468Hz) when played around the rim with a wooden ringer!

It has a particularly rare low or shallow form, a thick sheered lip with a decorative band of tiny dots encircling the outer rim.  There is a nice lingam at its centre and a matching yoni or navel underneath.  A pair of fine lines encircles the inner wall a little below the rim.

I believe this Lingam bowl to be 18^th century, but it could be earlier.  It is exquisitely proportioned and has great aesthetic appeal.  It has a truly beautiful aged patina and colour, and the look and feel of great antiquity.  It is in excellent structural condition and a delight to look at, hold and play.

A perfect example of this rare and ancient bowl form!
