Exquisite Small Antique Lingam Singing Bowl – F4 – Unique & Highly Collectable

This small antique Lingam Singing Bowl ranks among the very finest in my collection.  The quality of craftsmanship is outstanding, and it is quite simply one of the most beautiful bowls I have encountered in over 30 years of collecting.

Its gracious shallow curved form, rounded bottom, and satin smooth walls make it a sensual delight to hold in the palm and play.   It features a wonderful triangulated grooved lip, and deeply incised and raised decorative bands encircling the outer rim.  There is a perfect rounded lingam surrounded by circles at its centre, and a deep navel or yoni underneath.

The fundamental note is a lovely middle F4 (351Hz – 353Hz) when struck or played around the rim with a suede or wooden ringer.

The condition of this bowl is exceptional.  It is free of stains and blemishes and has a fabulous aged patina and the look and feel of great antiquity.

This fabulous small lingam is believed to date from the 18th century and is a unique gem of the singing bowl world.  It should have pride of place in any collection!
