Fabulous Antique Thadobati Singing & Talking Bowl – Perfect Pitch G#3 – Exceptionally Vocal

This beautiful early 19^thCentury Thadobati Singing Bowl is unusually large for this bowl type and has one of the best talking voices I have come across.  

It has smooth gracefully curved walls rising from a flat bottom, a grooved lip, and a decorative chain of dots surrounding the outer rim.  There are circles at its centre and a decorative line around its belly.

The fundamental note is a perfect pitch third octave G#3 (208Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.  The rim note changes to a fifth octave Eb5 (608Hz) with a wooden ringer.  It is exceptionally vocal if rocked back and forth or played with a little water inside.

This is an exceptionally nice bowl to look at and handle, as well as play.  It is structurally sound and has a lovely antique golden bronze colour.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
