Antique Jambati Singing Bowl. Notes: G2 & C#5 (Throat & Root Chakras)
Weight 3 lb 3 oz. (1.45 kilos). Size 25 x 10.5 cm (10 x 4 inches)
This is a superior quality antique Jambati Singing and Fountain Bowl with a low perfect pitch second octave G (98Hz) fundamental when stuck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim note changes to a fifth octave C# (548Hz) with a wooden ringer. This bowl has lots of vibrant energy and will produce the OM sound and also excellent fountains if played with a little water inside.
The walls have been superbly forged and are incredibly fine, and long use and ritual cleaning has made them sensually smooth. It has a sheered lip, decorative circles at its centre and bands around the outer rim that form a collar. The centre of the bowl is particularly attractive and unusual with large areas of copper showing through.
It is in excellent structural condition and free of stains and blemishes.
A Tibetan silk brocade cushion, a small padded striker, and a ringer are all included in the price.
Listen: (2 struck notes, a played note with suede ringer, followed by another struck note)
