This is a glorious old premium quality bowl in superb condition and combining great physical beauty with a superior sound.  The fundamental note is a wonderful third octave F# with an amazing sustain.  The note is the same whether the bowl is struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a ringer.

This antique bowl has the classic deep-bodied Jambati form, with a triangulated inward-facing lip, subtle hammer markings inside and out, an incised collar below the outer rim, and a large circle at its centre.  It has been very nicely forged and is quite heavy for its size.  It has a lovely golden bronze colour and is remarkably free of stains and blemishes.

This is an exceptional Jambati singing bowl by any standard, and undoubtedly one of the very best in our collection.  I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it…and anyone considering purchasing just one stunning bowl should give this one serious consideration.
