This is a large 18^th or 19^th century Thadobati Singing Bowl in its uncleaned ‘as found’ condition…tarnished with grime inside and out (some would say a rich patina).  If you like your singing bowls to have the look and feel of great antiquity then this bowl will delight!   It is actually structurally sound and would clean up nicely if desired.  This is a top quality bowl, very thick and heavy, with a grooved lip.  The struck note is a very nice middle octave E (335Hz).  The rim note is quite slow to build, and the playing edge would benefit from a light sanding or clean after which, I have no doubt, it will sing powerfully and sweetly.
