Himalayan Remuna Singing Bowl with Inscription – Superb!
SOLD
Antique Singing & Fountain Bowl. B & E Notes (Crown & Solar Plexus Chakras)
Weight 1 lb 2 ¼ (520g). 17 x 7 ¾ cm (approx. 6 ½ x 3 inches)
This old Remuna singing bowl with its fine walls and bulbous belly has a really superb voice…a low and beautiful third octave B flat fundamental when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer when it’s virtually concert pitch. A wooden ringer brings out multiple harmonics that climax in an amazing fifth octave E flat. This bowl has a powerful rim voice, is extremely easy to play and, with a little water inside, readily produces great fountains.
It’s a pretty bowl too, in excellent clean condition, with sound walls and a micro-grooved lip. It also benefits from a small inscription just below the rim.
