A huge and fabulous antique Jambati Singing Bowl with a wonderful pulsating third octave D (146/149Hz) fundamental whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.   This 18th – 19th century Jambati has very fine walls that make it rather light for its size.  The walls are very smooth and its hard to imagine that they were originally hammered into shape.  The bowl is in exceptionally good condition for its age, the only cosmetic issue being several small scars around the outer rim where the bowl has taken a knock in the past, but these have worn smooth over time and the suede ringer (supplied) passes over them without the slightest impact on its superior quality sound.  In view of this I have increased the discount to 20% on this outstanding and beautiful bowl!
