Huge 13 ¼ Inch Ultabati ‘OM’ Singing Bowl – Low & Vibrant F

SOLD

Huge Himalayan Ultabati Singing Bowl.  Concert Pitch F Note (Heart Chakra)

Weight 6 lb 8 oz (2.96 Kilos).  33.5 x 15.5 cm (approx. 13 ¼ x 6 ¼ inches)

Ultabati Tibetan Singing BowlThis is a huge Himalayan Ultabati Singing Bowl with wonderful vibrant energy and a fantastic voice, a low 2nd octave F fundamental.  The note is almost the same whether struck or played around the rim with a heavy suede ringer, but the rim note is particularly powerful with a growling ‘OM’ sound that is virtually a concert pitch F.  With a little water inside, this bowl is also capable of producing great fountains.

This is an Ultabati Singing Bowl of the finest quality, and if its vibrant F2 tonality resonates with you it would be hard to find another to equal it.  This bowl has the typical Ultabati caldron-like form with fine even walls, splayed collar, and thick out-turned downward-sloping lip.  It has a pair of decorative incised lines defining a golden collar below the outer rim and another pair high up on the inside.  And there are two pairs of concentric circles on the inside floor of the basin.   The condition of this handsome bowl is exceptional.

Old singing bowls of this huge size and quality are extremely rare, and the excellent state of preservation of this one suggests that it has been highly prized by its previous keepers.

A Tibetan brocade bowl cushion, a heavy teak and suede ringer, and a padded mallet are all included in the price.

Note: As this is an unusually heavy bowl there will be a surcharge to cover the additional cost of shipping and insurance to destinations outside the UK.  Overseas buyers will later be invoiced at cost for any shipping and insurance shortfall (estimated to be around $100 to USA and Canada).
