An exceptionally large and fabulous antique Jambati Singing Bowl with a beautiful low pulsating concert pitch F#2 voice with sufficient vibrant resonance to produce the desirable OM sound if a heavy suede ringer is used.  This bowl will also produce fountains if played with a little water inside.

This bowl has finely forged walls that make it relatively light for its size and therefore easier to hold and play.  It has a plain lip with decorative incised bands below the rim, and circles at its centre.  It benefits from a small engraved inscription set within the external banding.

The structural condition of this handsome bowl is excellent, and it is basically very clean apart from some some splashes of oil in places on the outer wall (see photo) which I believe can be quite easily removed.  In any event they do not seriously detract from the beauty of this bowl, and have no impact on its wonderful sound.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a striker and a ringer are all cincluded in the price.
