A lovely small antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with lots of interesting decorative features.  The fundamental note is a good fifth octave Bb (908Hz) when struck, and Bb (915Hz) when played around the rim.

 

This bowl has many interesting decorative features including a circle of suns (punched dots surrounded by circles) at its centre and all around the lip, the latter now just dots.  The outer wall features a series of ritual gashes around the rim, and a nice band of suns.

 

This bowl has fine smooth walls inside and out and is a pleasure to hold and play.  It is in good clean structural condition.   A ringer is included in the price.
