Antique Tibetan Jambati Singing Bowl.  B Note (Crown Chakra)
Weight approx. 1 lb. 14oz (839g).   20 x 9cm  (approx. 8 x 3½ inches)

A medium-size nicely proportioned antique Tibetan singing bowl with a very low second octave fundamental note of B in excellent condition.   It is well forged and has a classic curved-wall form with lots of interesting hammer marks and some simple decorative banding inside and out.  This bowl is small for a Jambati and is therefore relatively light and comfortable to hold and play for an extended period.

 

This is an attractive and responsive bowl with a truly beautiful sonorous and resonant tone.
