This is a handsome large 10 ¾” antique Jambati Singing Bowl with two concert pitch voices…a low second octave G#3 (104Hz) fundamental when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim notes changes to middle Eb4 (312Hz) with a wooden ringer. This bowl has a huge sustain.
It has been expertly crafted and features attractive hammer markings to the outer wall, a sheered lip, decorative bands encircling the outer rim, and circles at its centre.
It is in excellent structural condition, clean and free of stains, and has a very attractive golden bronze colour with light copper oxidization inside.
A large Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, padded striker, and 2 ringers are all included in the price.
