This is a nice quality antique Jambati Singing Bowl with a strong pulse and a fluctuating third octave D or Eb fundamental depending upon where and how it is struck.  The nice rim note is also variable according to the type of ringer used. 

This antique bowl is well forged and quite heavy for its size.  It has a plane lip, circles at its centre, and a pair of incised bands forming a decorative collar below the outer rim.

This bowl is very clean and its structural condition is excellent although there is a small area of light pitting at its centre.  It has attractive hammer markings inside and out, and a nice golden bronze colour.  A padded striker, a Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a ringer are all included in the price.
