Antique Jambati Singing Bowl. Notes: C#3 & G5 (Root & Throat Chakras)
Weight 5 lb 3 oz. (2.35 kilos). Size 27.5 x 12.5 cm (10 ¾ x 5 inches)
Large superior quality Antique Jambati Singing Bowl with two excellent voices…a C#3 (136Hz) fundamental when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer, and a fifth octave G (781Hz) rim note if played with a wooden one.
This is a beautifully forged bowl with thick even walls and a triangulated lip. A smooth band around the outer rim contrasts nicely with the finely hammered body of the bowl. There are circles at its centre.
This bowl benefits from a nice dot-punched inscription on two lines – something of a rarity on Jambati bowls, and a fair indication of the high esteem in which a former keeper held this bowl.
The structural condition of this antique bowl is excellent. It has a nice antique bronze colour and is clean and free of blemishes.
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a padded striker and a ringer are all included in the price.
