This handsome antique Jambati Singing Bowl has a glorious third octave C# (140Hz) voice with a long pulsating sustain when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.  This beautiful note is quite close to concert pitch.  The second harmonic is a nice middle A (438Hz).

This large and heavy bowl has been superbly crafted and is a good example of the full-bodied Jambati bowl type.  There are attractive hammer markings outside whilst being smooth on the inside.  It has a triangulated lip, a banded collar, and wide circles at its centre.  It is in excellent structural condition and basically clean.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, padded mallet, and a ringer are all included in the price.
