This large 12-inch Antique Jambati Singing Bowl has a low second octave Bb fundamental (114Hz) that is quite close to concert pitch when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.  The rim note changes to a middle F (362Hz) with a wooden ringer.

This bowl has the classic Jambati form with finely hammered walls and a plain triangulated lip.  There are decorative incised bands forming a collar around the outer rim, and concentric circles at the centre.

It is in excellent structural condition, basically clean and stain-free inside and out, with some bands of light copper oxidization inside.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a padded striker and a ringer are all included in the price.
