This is a rare and beautiful antique Lingam Singing Bowl – being exceptionally large and heavy, structurally sound, and in excellent clean condition for its considerable age.  It has a fabulous perfect concert pitch voice…a middle octave C (261Hz).

This golden bronze bowl has a lovely shape with thick curved walls.  It has a very neat and regular pointed lingam at its centre, and a superb navel underneath.  The lip is wide and grooved.  A pair of decorative incised lines encircles the bowl below the rim.

This bowl is so smooth to the touch, inside and out, that it’s hard to imagine that it was originally hammered into shape, and that the surface has been worn smooth through years and years of handling and use.  It has the most glorious deep golden colour.  A padded striker and a suede-wrapped ringer are included in the price.
