Antique Jambati Singing Bowl. G#2 & D4 (Throat & Sacral Chakras)
Weight 4 lb 5 ¾ oz (1.98 kilos). 29 x 12.5 cm (approx. 11 ½ x 5 inches)
This large Circa 1800 Jambati bowl has an excellent low second octave G# (102Hz) fundamental whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim. A heavy suede ringer will bring out the vibrant OM sound. The G#2 rim note will also sing beautifully together with its D4 (302Hz) harmonic if required. It will also produce fountains if played with a little water inside. The condition of this bowl is good, and it benefits from a rather nice inscription on the outer wall…a fair indication of the high esteem in which it was held by a former keeper. A heavy suede ringer is included in the price.
