This is a large antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with a nice third octave F fundamental (180Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim note changes to a fifth octave C (516Hz) with a wooden ringer. It is a very responsive bowl and easy to play.

There are circles at its centre, and evidence of a pair of dotted bands, now faint, encircling the outer rim. This old bowl has a golden bronze colour, and is in excellent structural condition and free of stains.

A Tibetan silk brocade cushion and a ringer are included in the price.
