This is an unusually large premium quality antique Manipuri Singing Bowl.  The fundamental note is a beautiful third octave F (178Hz) when struck or played with a suede ringer, and a fifth octave C (509Hz) when played around the rim with a wooden one.  It is a very responsive bowl and easy to play.

It has a thick slightly splayed lip, circles at its centre, and multiple decorative bands below the outer rim that are typical of this type and age of bowl.

It is in exceptional clean structural condition and has a lovely antique golden bronze colour.  A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.

A rare large example of this lovely bowl form!
