Magnificent Rare Large 12” Antique Jambati Singing Bowl – Perfect Pitch C3 (131Hz)

This very large and substantial antique Jambati Singing Bowl has a glorious pulsating perfect pitch C fundamental (131Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer. The rim note changes to a middle G4 (393Hz) with a wooden ringer.

Weighing almost 3 kilos it is an unusually heavy bowl.  Its flat bottom and thick walls have been expertly crafted.  It has a thick grooved rim, decorative bands forming a collar around the outer rim, and circles at its centre. 

This antique bowl is in excellent structural condition, clean and free of stains, with particularly attractive hammer markings and a deep golden bronze colour.

Large antique Jambati bowls of this size, weight, and quality are a rarity, and finding one with perfect pitch, especially a C3 note, is really special.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, padded striker, and a double-ended teal and suede ringer are all included in the price.
