Antique Tibetan Manipuri Singing Bowl.  E & B Notes (Solar Plexus & Crown Chakras)
Weight 1 lb 0½ oz (467g).   15 x 5 ½ cm (approx. 6 x 2 ¼ inches)

A very nice quality antique Tibetan Manipuri Singing Bowl that’s quite weighty for its size.  It sits solidly and comfortably in the palm of the hand and is the perfect shape and weight for playing without tiring.  This bowl looks good, it’s clean and bright, and everything about it spells quality.  It is very well forged with thicker than average walls that splay slightly towards the rim.  The outer walls have pleasant hammer markings that catch the light, while the inside is smooth.  The lip is decorated with sun motifs (punched circles with dots in the middle) and there is a small decorative circle of the same motif in the centre of the basin, which also features two pairs of faint engraved concentric circle.

The fundamental note is a mid octave E and the rim note is a fifth octave B flat with multiple harmonics.  This bowl is in excellent condition and has a nice antique gold colour.  A double-ended teak and suede striker/ringer is included in the price.
