Medium Jambati Bowl – A heavyweight with a powerful F3 Voice

For a medium large antique singing bowl this Jambati is a real heavyweight at just under 2 kilos.  It’s a top quality bowl too…with a powerful third octave F fundamental whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim.

This old bowl is beautifully forged.  It has thick even walls and a strong lip, and finely incised lines forming a decorated collar below the rim.  There are two pairs of concentric circles inside the basin.

The condition of this bowl is very good.  It has a nice golden colour and is largely free of blemishes and stains.

This is a very handsome bowl that speaks of quality.  It has a beautiful voice and is very responsive and easy to play…but, like some larger bowls, its weight might be a challenge for some if handheld and played for any length of time.

A Tibetan brocade bowl cushion and a teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
