This is a nice quality medium-size antique Jambati Singing Bowl with a very pretty shape and an unusually low second octave voice for its size.

Both the struck note and the rim note are an excellent B2 that is virtually perfect concert pitch.  The bowl is responsive and easy to play, and it will readily produce fountains if played with a little water inside.

This old bowl is extremely well forged, with fine regular walls, a neat lip, and two finely incised lines forming a decorative band below the rim.  There is a pair of faint incised circles on the floor of the basin.  The condition of this old bowl is very good and it has an attractive golden colour.

A Tibetan brocade bowl cushion and a teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
