This is a very nice quality medium-size antique Jambati Singing Bowl with thicker than average walls and attractive hammered surfaces that catch the light.  Both the struck note and the rim note are an excellent third octave F that borders on perfect concert pitch.  The bowl is responsive and easy to play, and its voice is powerful and pulsating.   This bowl will also readily produce fountains if played with a little water inside.

 

This old bowl is extremely well forged, with thick regular walls, a strong triangulated lip, and three finely incised lines forming a decorated collar below the rim.  There are large faint decorative circles inside the basin.  The condition of this old bowl is very good.

 

A Tibetan brocade bowl cushion and a teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
