Antique Naga Singing Bowl.  D & G Notes (Sacral & Throat Chakras)

This is a small to medium size antique Naga singing and healing bowl with an exceptional sound.  The fundamental note is a good mid octave D whether struck or played with a suede ringer.  The played rim note begins as an excellent D4 but after a while it is joined by a fifth octave G harmonic.  As the sound builds the D4 drops away and the G5 comes through…evolving into one of the clearest, most powerful and penetrating voices I have ever heard from any smallish bowl.  This note is almost concert pitch and has a wonderfully long sustain.

 

This is a well-proportioned bowl with fine walls and in very nice clean condition for its age.  It also benefits from an excellent and old dot-punched inscription.

 

Altogether a fantastic sounding Naga bowl that I highly recommend!
