Antique Naga Singing Bowl.  D & G Notes (Sacral & Throat Chakras)
Weight 0 lb 15 ¾ oz (445g).   12.5 x 8.5 cm (approx. 5 x 3 ¼ inches)

 

This is a medium size antique Naga singing and healing bowl with two good voices.  The fundamental note is a mid octave D whether struck or played with a suede ringer.  The rim note changes to a fifth octave G if a wooden ringer is used.  And if the bowl is started with a suede ringer and then the ringer switched to a wooden one it is possible to sound both notes together.

 

This is a well-proportioned bowl in nice condition for its age.  It also benefits from an old dot-punched inscription set between a pair of stars or lotus flowers.

 

A double-ended teak and suede ringer is included in the price.
