This superb medium size Antique Ultabati Singing Bowl has a good third octave C#3 (141Hz) fundamental with a pronounced pulse when struck with a padded mallet, a D3 (146Hz) when played around the rim with a suede ringer, and a concert pitch middle G# (416Hz) when played around the rim with a wooden one..
It has the distinctive Ultabati caldron-like form, a scooped or flared neck and an out-turned downward-sloping grooved lip. There are decorative concentric circles at its centre and encircling its shoulder.
This bowl has attractive hammer markings and a dark bronze colour, and is in excellent clean structural condition.
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a striker and a ringer are all included in the price.
