Antique Naga & Healing Singing Bowl.  C Note (Root Chakra)

Weight 1 lb 13 ¼ oz (825g).   17 x 16 (rim) x 11 ½ cm (approx. 6 ½ x 4 ½ inches)

 

This antique Naga bowl has a wonderful voice, a lovely C sharp, whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.   Subtle variations in the thickness of the rim may account for its distinctive and powerful voice.  It is extremely responsive and easy to play.  It has been superbly crafted, and is in excellent clean and unblemished condition.

This beautiful singing bowl benefits from a small inscription and a very large (7.5cm) and finely drawn dot-punched engraving of a peacock.
