A rare 18th century lingam bowl with a rather lovely low profile.  This bowl has seen a lot of use over the years and a certain amount of wear and tear is evident, particularly on the floor of the basin.  But don’t let that put you off as this is still a beautiful bowl with a glorious middle C voice.   It will also produced a stunning perfect concert pitch C#4 (277Hz) with a different suede ringer.  It is very responsive and easy to play.

This bowl has an attractive golden bronze colour and very smooth clean walls.  It has an a level triangulated lip with some decorative bands below the outer rim, and the centre features a rare semi-lingam…a rounded mound that is matched by a navel underneath.

 A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and ringer are included in the price.
