Rare 8½–inch Ultabati Singing & Fountain Bowl – Fabulous Low A2 Voice!

Antique Ultabati Singing & Fountain Bowl.   Low A2 (112Hz) Third Eye Chakra

Weight 1 lb 11¼ oz. (0.77 kilos).   Size 21.5 x 10 cm (8½ x 4 inches)

This lovely Ultabati Singing Bowl has an exceptionally beautiful and low fundamental note…a second octave A with a frequency of 112Hz and a subtle vibrant energy.  The note is the same whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer, but the rim note changes to a middle Eb (317Hz) if a wooden ringer is employed.  And if played with a little water inside this bowl will produce great splashy fountains.

With a diameter of 8½ inches this is a small bowl for an Ultabati, and it is also relatively light for its size…making it easy to handhold and play.  The bowl is in good structural condition.  

There is the tiniest of hairpin cracks across the edge of the rim that is completely stable and has absolutely no impact on the sound, which I mention only to be thorough in my description (please don’t be put off.  This is a lovely old bowl with an incredibly low voice)

The price includes a Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a padded striker, and a teak and suede ringer.
