This rare antique bowl has a particularly graceful form and features one of the finest grooved lips I have ever seen…triangulated, exceptionally wide, with well-defined grooves that continue around the outer rim to form a decorative collar.  There is an unusual raised mound at its center, surrounded by circles, and there are circles underneath too.  This is a stunningly beautiful, rare, and interesting bowl.

The fundamental note is middle G4 (395Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a wooden ringer.

This lovely antique bowl (circa 1800) is structurally sound, clean and stain-free, with some light copper oxidization adding surface interest to the patina of antiquity.

Two different wooden ringers are included in the price.
