Antique Lingam Singing Bowl.   Note: F3 (Heart Chakra)

Weight 1 lb 6 ½ oz. (639 grams).   Size 17.5 x 9.5 cm (7 x 3 ¾ inches)

This rare medium size Antique Lingam Singing Bowl has an unusual and graceful bell-like form and very fine smooth walls.  There is a beautiful lingam at its centre surrounded by circles, and a neat yoni/navel underneath.

The fundamental note is a lovely perfect pitch third octave F (174Hz) when struck or played around the rim with a ringer.  The rim note will move from F3 (174) to Bb4 (484Hz) if desired.  It is a very responsive bowl and easy to play.  This unusual medium-size antique lingam singing bowl is structurally sound and free of stains and blemishes.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a ringer are included in the price.

Footnote:  You might be wondering how, if antique lingam bowls are so rare, there are so many specimens for sale on my website.  Indeed, I believe there are probably more antique lingam bowls here than all the other singing bowl websites in the world combined!  And lingams are now so rare that I doubt a visitor would find a single specimen in Nepal’s antique shops today.

My wife and I collected singing bowls in the Himalayas for over 30 years, amassing a huge private collection.  Lingams were among our personal favourites at a time when little was known about unusual bowl forms and prices were reasonable.  Today these antique bowls are extremely rare and sought-after by international collectors, healers and sound therapists, and lingams now command very high prices at source when they come to light. In fact I have personally paid £2,500 ($3,270) for a single fabulous lingam bowl!

Sadly my wife Maureen passed away in 2015 and I am now selling our collection to help fund her Memorial Charity ‘One Golden Angel’ that helps rescue and rehabilitate trafficked, exploited and orphaned children in Nepal.  I make 5 trips annually to Nepal to administer my charity, and this affords me a unique opportunity to source more rare specimens in my spare time. Fortunately, I was recently able to acquire a retiring Tibetan dealer’s entire private collection of lingams, and these are now being listed alongside my own bowls on this website.

There will never again be such a wonderful selection of these fascinating antique Himalayan ritual lingam singing bowls for sale, so please take advantage of this unique opportunity and know that your purchase will help fund my mission to relieve suffering and change young lives for the better in the very country of their origin.  Thank you, Fred www.OneGoldenAngel.com
