Rare Antique Bronze Shaman Bell

Size: 7 ½ x 3 inches (19 x 8 cm). Weight: 0 lb 11 ½ oz (324 grams)

This rare antique Shaman Hand-Bell was almost certainly made by the shaman for his or her own personal ritual use.   It has all the hallmarks of a primitive casting by the lost wax method, making it a particularly unique, charming, and interesting ritual object. It follows the Himalayan shamanic tradition of making one’s own ceremonial and ritual power tools.

The seated praying figure at the top probably represents the shaman, or possibly a guru, and the body of the bell features a simple geometric pattern representing lotus petals.

The rung note is a satisfying sixth octave F6 (1382Hz).

This is an interesting and collectable Shaman bell in excellent condition, probably dating from the 18th Century, with an attractive antique bronze colour and the heavy patina of antiquity.

Antique bronze Shaman Bells of this type and quality are few and far between, and are highly prized by religious practitioners, shaman, yogis, healers and sound therapists, as well as bell collectors.

When you buy, handle, and ring this antique ritual bell you can be confident that it is a genuine and revered holy instrument that has played an important part in countless sacred rituals and ceremonies for at least 100 years. It is a fascinating and beautiful object in its own right, with the look and feel of antiquity…but perhaps more interestingly, when it is rung one can sense the spiritual energy, power and purpose with which it is imbued, and the present ineffably connects to the past.
