Rare Antique Lingam Singing Bowl – Perfect Concert Pitch C#4 Voice

This rare antique Lingam Singing Bowl has a perfect concert pitch middle C#4 fundamental (277Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer or wooden ringer.  It is very responsive and easy to play.

It has the Thadobati form, with walls that are thicker than average.  There is a large lingam at its centre surrounded by circles, and a deep matching yoni or navel underneath.  It has a strong and faintly grooved lip, and two bands of tiny gashes decorate the outer rim.

This attractive old bowl is in excellent structural condition, free of stains, with some slight surface oxidization in places. 

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
