Rare 16th – 18th Century Antique Tibetan Mani Singing Bowl.  E Note (Solar Plexus Chakra)
Weight 3 lb 10 oz (1.64 kilos).   20 x 18 (rim) x 10½ cm (approx. 7 ¾ x 4 ½ inches)

 

This is a very substantial and heavy Mani bowl of considerable age, with a glorious and very powerful voice…a penetrating E flat.  This bowl is all about the sound!  It is extremely easy to play, responding immediately to the ringer, and has one of the best singing voices we’ve heard from a Mani.

 

It has the typical bulbous Mani shape, with a grooved inward-facing lip and decorative bands around the rim that have worn quite smooth over time.  This is a simple and honest antique Mani bowl in excellent clean condition for its age with a truly wonderful sound that’s just about as good as it gets!
